Smiling Makes You Happier

Dr. Mike is so incredibly thorough and diligent. He made sure that my laminates were perfect. He was painstaking about the prepping, about the color, about the particular lab that was making the laminates. His objective is single minded....he wants his patients to be happy. I am so happy with the outcome!

It is impossible to adequately express my appreciation of Dr. Mike. The words shared here are an expression of my gratitude, but cannot possibly convey the depth of my admiration, respect or gratefulness for Dr. Mike. His genuine care, professionalism and generosity have affected me profoundly.
In March of 2017, Dr. Mike offered me the opportunity to have a “smile makeover”. He explained that he was expanding his dental practice to include cosmetic dentistry and attending a course at NYU, requiring a participant who could benefit from this procedure. He described the time commitment and process and it worked well with my fulltime work as a nurse. I was thrilled to be considered for this!
My smile transformation experience was, in a word, ‘remarkable’. Through the entire procedure (which involved 2 separate days); one for prep and temporary veneers to be placed, and the other for the permanent veneers to be applied, Dr. Mike shared his expertise and care, putting me at ease and making the procedure pain-free. This experience was nothing short of life affirming. Dr. Mike exemplified the kind of care, kindness, gentleness and professionalism that we long for, wish for and hope for in a physician.
Prior to the procedure, I was aware that my teeth were ‘imperfect’, but not to the point where I thought about its daily impact on my smile or my confidence. What changed, is after I received the “new smile” (which included resurfacing of my teeth and veneers to the upper- top 8 teeth), I felt differently about myself, immediately. I want to smile now. I want to share my happiness. I have new found confidence in myself that I didn’t even realize I was lacking prior to the smile makeover!
It has occurred me now, that of the cosmetic changes that I could have had made to my personal appearance, there is nothing that has more meaning to me—and perhaps to those around me, than this smile makeover. When people smile in my direction, it’s both welcoming and reassuring. It is a “door opener”. I am now using my smile to ’welcome’ and ‘reassure’ others, too. This smile makeover is a “beautiful tool” for making connections, showing care, acceptance and expressing appreciation of others. What could be more meaningful moving forward in my life? “Nothing!” I am; and I intend, to smile a lot—and hope in the process I will spread some joy!

Getting a smile makeover from Dr. Mike has been life changing. I never realized how much work I did when I was with people to avoid showing my bad teeth. After the procedure was complete, it took me a while to remember that my teeth were perfect and I didn’t have to hide them anymore. I did not realize how important that would be. Now I smile easily and often. My smile has completely changed how I interact with people.

The day I got my new smile from Dr. Mike was one of the most exciting days in my life. My smile was beautiful for the first time. My smile was permanent, it was real and it was mine. For weeks afterward, I was learning new things about how valuable a beautiful smile really is.

Since my wife got her smile makeover from Dr. Mike, I have noticed that her smile is always the first way she shows her happiness. It might be followed by a hug or a kiss, but it always starts with that beautiful smile. It has been a gift for both of us. She is more confident and more relaxed when we are together than I can ever remember.

I do a lot of public speaking and meet thousands of new people each year. The beautiful smile I got from Dr. Mike has completely changed this part of my professional life. A broad smile from the podium or a warm smile with a handshake are such valuable ways to communicate with new colleagues. It starts everything off in a positive and confident way. I wish I had done it years earlier.

I really liked how Dr. Mike handled the whole procedure. Of course, he used the latest high-tech equipment. But most important for me is that he was completely tuned in to my experience. He was genuinely engaged with me throughout the process and wanted to know how I was doing at every step. He made sure I was comfortable. Beforehand I admit I was concerned about how it would feet but that turned out to be the best part of the procedure.

Dr. Mike is a unique smile dentist and a remarkable guy. It was clear from the first time we met that he was excited by his work and that he wanted to help me feel better about my smile. I had all 28 teeth done so we spent a good amount of time together. The more I got to know him the more I liked him. It was always a delight to see him and the new smile was the icing on the cake!
